A worrying decline in the US bee population over the last few years
could have a major impact on companies who rely on honey bees to
pollinate plants that are widely used as ingredients.
Scientists from the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) announced a
year ago they had completed the first draft on the honeybee genome;
they are now using these findings to uncover new ways to keep
honeybees healthy.
